My Story
Hello, I’m Dr. Kate.
My journey did not start with medicine, in fact, I was a film designer.
My husband and I met on Mars. Ok, not literally, but we both worked in the art department on a film called ‘The Red Planet’.
As our family formed, we juggled freelance film work and three budding children.
As our family grew, health became a big focus of our lives so I decided to retrain in medicine and made lasting friendships.
My way of processing the transformation to parenting was in journaling, which resulted in my first book: Mum’s the Word. You can find the link to my book page here.
As our family matures, the focus is now on mental health as much as physical health, which led to the idea of blogging to share stories, information and tips I’ve picked up along the way and are still discovering.
When it comes to mental health care, I always take an holistic approach—one that looks at every aspect of your life, not just the symptoms.
My practice is grounded in professional expertise and balanced by my own experience of the health system from an authentic perspective. This maturity allows me to understand your journey on a deeper level, knowing that healing isn’t just about medical treatment but about real-life understanding.
